Hysterectomy – Ruth, 57

”Having attended my GP, I was advised to see a gynaecologist for further investigation. Dr Patrick Campbell was recommended to me by a friend who worked in the medical field due to the fact that he also specialised in Urology.

I was very nervous prior to my first appointment. However, I was put completely at ease as Dr Campbell explained that I had a prolapse and that surgery could resolve the matter.He explained everything fully to me. I had coped with the prolapse for some time but it had really started to affect the quality of my life. However, I was very apprehensive about surgery in general. In the end, I decided to put my fears to one side and look beyond the surgery to imagine how great a positive outcome would be and how much my life would be improved.

First and foremost, I trusted Dr Campbell implicitly and on that basis, I decided to proceed with surgery. This was the best decision I could have made.

Having had the surgery eight weeks ago, I am overwhelmed by the result. I received the utmost care from Dr Campbell, the anaesthetist and all the nursing staff. I am so happy that I was put in touch with Dr Campbell and could not recommend him highly enough.”
